NEW RUN 412 HOODIES AVAILABLE!!!!!

A few years ago I came up with this concept for RUN 412 based off of the RUN DMC logo. It has been a succesfull venture between me and Paul Dang (DJ MAD BUDDHA). For quite some time, all that was available were T-Shirts. The sweatshirt and zip-up hoodie were recently unveiled. I am in the process of putting together a short promo for the piece, and this (below) is a still from the piece. The piece features my 15 year old daughter Arnita. THE ARCHIVES!!!!!

The first film/documentary done about Pittsburgh Hip hop was done by me back in 2000. My group HI-LOW was making some noise and to be honest it was just the fam getting it in...ME, T-note, U-turn (Yusef) and Chenits (tomorrow aka Chen-Low). The funny thing about it is that we were doing a ton of shows, no records out, no deal,no manager just on the road having fun doing what we love to do. This documentary had it's debut at the Andy Warhol museum and was eventually put out on VHS...(yes I said VHS). It was all grind all the time. I never uploaded it for several reasons, but my homeboy Will from High Impact Designs uploaded it, so I thought I would share it. It's not the best copy in the world, and it was basically me with a camera taping me and my people's shows. Like I said I focuse don our squad HI-LOW but had to give love to other cats from the 412, such as J.Sands, Strict flow, RXC, ROOK and BISHOP ect....(also look out for cameos from Mos Def and Kweli) There is even some footage from Rust college in there. Sometimes I can show you better than I can tell you.....btw I do have a better copy...I should probably upload that at some time. TONS OF POST BEFORE 2012

So 2012 is upon us (soon) with that comes my ultra update before the new year. In the next few days I will upload footage from the CLASSIC MATERIAL WU-TANG edition...dope party if you missed it then you can finally see a few shots from it, I will also have some video pieces from several other events I was involved in this year as well as the party of the year "My 40th bday event." Also make sure you cop the new RUN 412 hoodies......really dope. ALSO i picked up a new Pittsburgh shirt, that has the "P" logo comprised of artists names of people who are from Pittsburgh and or have resided in Pittsburgh at one point or another.....everyone from Ahmad Jamal to Wiz Khalifa...btw my name is on there as well. I had no idea this shirt was out, so you know I had to cop one.

Trailer for the Rust College mini-documentary I am putting together

I got my degree from Rust back in 1995 and this was my first time going back to the campus during founder's week. To put it in perspective I have been back on several occasions (3 times this year alone), but this was my first time back during that weekend. I will never miss another one. I do believe that the years I went to Rust (and a few years before and after) can never be duplicated again. I am going to debut the film here on my blog (for free) and will continue to drop previews of the film in weeks to come.
